Hey I'm Aaron

How’s it going? I’m Aaron and I just ran across this board last night. I would consider myself an intermediate woodworker but I’m looking for learning opportunities all the time. I’d really like to learn to use hand tools more, specifically hand planers. Also interested in learning more advanced joinery skills, i.e. mortise and tenon, etc. Hopefully when all the COVID crap is over there will be some classes on those soon. Thanks!

Hey Aaron,
We would love to have you join us. We are going to start up some of the classes soon… time depending on the building progress (sigh…it always seems like a mirage … just barely out of reach.)
It will be a bit longer for the woodworking stuff… but we love teaching classes. Also you could teach classes for us as an intermediate woodworker!

If you want to come down and look around and talk about the space, we have a work day every Tuesday starting about 6:00pm. I would give you the tour and you can meet some of the folks. (If you have time we might even recruit you to paint or put something together  )

Hi LeDeana,

I’m excited to come check out the facility and see what’s possible. The dues are very reasonable and I will be joining soon I think. As far as teaching I’m not sure that’s my cup of tea. I’m not a traditional woodworker with years of experience. I just have a knack for figuring out how to build stuff I guess. That’s why I want to hang out with some of the more traditional woodworkers that can teach me the “right” way to do things. Maybe after a few projects I can feel comfortable enough to teach. Who knows. Anyway, thanks for the message and hope to see ya there. Take care.
Aaron
