How does the guest policy work with official events? Are parties counted as official events, do normal guest policies apply, or are they classified as something else?
I am specifically asking, because the Halloween Party will include people who are not members, such as the Master Gardeners and members of the Riverside Community Garden.
Also, it looks like there will be rain on Sunday. Due to this, I think we should plan on having the party entirely inside Classroom 4, and (unfortunately) not in the garden.
looking forward to the party tonight! it’s a “chance” of rain so maybe we can be in and out
are people bringing food? it says bring cardboard but it’s a potluck too right?
A lot of the building access/guest policies change “outside of officially posted event times”, and this is an officially posted event. it’s not quite the same as the holiday market, so I’d encourage nametags, and let’s rope off the northeast wing and make sure non-members know that it’s off limits. but we don’t make everyone sign a waiver for things like markets and parties. I feel like the guest policy could use some clean-up around this if we were going to be picky. I’m not on security so they could override me but that’s kind of standard practice.
