These beautiful pieces will be a challenge to glaze fire. Every bit of glaze that is on the bottom needs to be Cleaned off with wet sponge prior to being ready to go in the kiln. These drips will glue them to the kiln shelf and damage the pieces and the kiln shelf.
If these large flat pieces are stilted, they will likely warp in the glaze fire.
If fired directly on the shelf, it is very important that the glaze will not run on the shelf. If these are your work, please clean the glaze from the bottom and leave a note on each letting us know what glazes you used, so the kiln operators can better decide best firing options for it.
