Garden Work Day Sunday at 11!

I struggled with being over run with pigweed for years in my garden. I’ve used plastic and cloth weed barrier with limited success. The part I disliked the most was the following year. Both were huge pains in the back side when it came time to prep and plant again. This past gardening season I mulch VERY heavily with straw. WOW!!! Very few weeds. Clean to walk through. Kept the produce clean and dry. It made my garden very manageable. This is a strategy an old organic farmer shared with me. He even planted his potatoes in the straw. Anywho, hope this might give you food for thought.
