I have started carving my birdhouse gourds from last year and have harvested a bunch of seeds. They overwintered in the basement in their original fruits so they should be viable. If not, well, it was my first year. If you want to take a chance on them, they grow prolifically - I planted nine seeds total and got ~30 gourds off the vines - and like to climb.
