Perhaps I am just particularly poor at navigating the online resources, but I heard that there is an app for the forums and I am having trouble finding access to it. I’d love to have the app so I can stay more informed and involved as I often forget to check in on the forums and miss important notification but having it as an app on my phone would make it more accessible.
We go to our browser on our phones to access the fourm. I use Firefox and it let’s me make an short cut that I can drag to my home screen.
I whatever browser you have (at least chrome, safari or Firefox)…. Use the share option (box with arrow sticking out of the top) and choose the option to put it on the homepage.
@kojiliby you may want to try DiscourseHub. I have not tried the app myself. Discrourse is the name of the software used to host the forum.
Hello! New member here. I have the App installed! I have an android, so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but when I created my account for the forum, I had a notification immediately pop up to ask if I wanted to Install the App. It’s not something you can find out on the play store I think. Maybe try searching around the settings or check the wiki??
Discourse has an official app for iOS as well.
There is no specific app for the MakeICT forums. You can access the forums in various ways from your phone or PC, but there isn’t a dedicated app available on the Google or App stores.
Here’s links to the Apple App store and Google Play store for DiscourseHub.
Just download and enter your credentials (just like any app) and voila, you have an app for the forum. Maybe check out the reviews before downloading and decide if you want to fiddle with it. It was lovely for the time that I used it, but it does have it’s ups and downs.
Alternatively, you can do any of the above listed options of saving a browser link to your desk top or home screen.
This isn’t a plug for any single option, they all have their pros and cons. ![]()
