Folding, Magnetic RV Window Shades

Starting the design phase. I’ve looked at most of the existing RV window shade options and frankly I don’t like any of them. I’m in the design phase, but my design essentially glues a ferromagnetic (metal that magnets will stick to) frame around the window, which hosts a two layer fabric cover that folds into six segments with their own magnets. One layer will be a light filtering/privacy layer, the other will be a blackout fabric.

Advantages over other window shades: I can shade from the bottom up for privacy without compromising visibility and light transmission, a decent magnetic seal will prevent airflow over the window glass to provide insulation from heat and cold, and ease of removal for washing/cleaning.

The more I think about it, the more I want to use some balsa wood and that laser :joy:
