FabLab Monthly Meeting Recap April 2026

I wanted to share a quick recap from this month’s Fab Lab meeting:

  • General cleaning was completed—great work everyone! We also added some additional signage above the Prusa printers as a friendly reminder to clean up after use.

  • All makerspace filament has been relocated to the shelves to the left of the laser printers. It is now easily accessible and clearly labeled.

  • Glass and tiles have been organized on the same shelving area.

  • Prusa printers 2 through 4 are currently down for maintenance.

  • We are currently working on developing general maintenance plans for both the 3D printers and resin printers.

  • Over the next few weekends, we plan to begin building enclosures for the resin printers.

  • For the shelving area that contains a mix of finished prints and general storage:

    • Please label and date your items.

    • Items left for more than 30 days may be removed, consistent with policies in other rooms.

In addition, please leave a note if you’re going to do maintenance and leave the thing more apart than when you started.

I question if anyone has a full picture of why the printers are down in the first place lol.

Yeah, this is mostly spurred on by a group of us looking one day and thinking hmm, belt tension… and then suddenly the entire hot end is apart the next day.
