Host: Jennifer Cabala
Register: http://makeict.wildapricot.org/event-6328565
Price: MakeICT Members - $45.00
Price: Non-Members - $50.00

In this hands on pottery class participants will have the opportunity to make a divided tray of their own design using the slab building method.

Once your pieces are constructed, you'll have the opportunity to decorate them using a variety of techniques - choose from texturing, carving, and painting with underglazes to bring your vision to life.

Glazing:
Participants will have the option to underglaze their pieces the same evening, or return during a future class to apply a traditional glaze after the pieces are bisque fired (there is no additional charge to return for glazing).

After the session, your pieces will remain in the studio to dry (about 4 -5 days) before being bisque fired. If you underglazed your piece during the class, I will then apply a clear glaze and fire them a second time. If you chose to use traditional glaze, you will need to return during a future class (or anytime if you are a MakeICT member) to glaze your piece (no additional charge). Your finished creations will be ready for pickup in approximately 3 - 6 weeks, depending on drying time and kiln schedules. I'll notify you as soon as your items are ready.

All materials - including clay, tools, underglaze, and clear glaze are included in the class price.
