In this hands on pottery class you will make a set of small succulent pots of your own design using the pinch pot method. This will be a 2 session class, unless you elect to have the instructor glaze your piece.
During the first session, you will construct the succulent pots. Together, we'll explore various decorating techniques including carving, texturing, or adding embellishments to your pots.
The 2nd session (glazing) will be held on specified evenings. These are informal sessions available within a 2 hour timeframe. You are free to attend the glazing session that works best with your schedule.
After the first session, your piece will remain in the studio to dry (about 4 -5 days) and then bisque fired. Once bisque is complete, it will be ready to glaze. I'll send notification when your piece is ready to glaze and provide the glaze session schedule at that time. If you choose to have me glaze, your finished creations will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 - 6 weeks, depending on drying time and kiln schedules. I'll notify you as soon as your items are ready.
All materials - including clay, tools, glaze, and underglaze are included in the class price.
