Monthly Meeting for SKW and Interested Make ICT Members. Due to in person limitations, if you sign up and can’t attend please cancel ASAP so someone else can take your place. Gathering starts at 8:30, the meeting will start at 9:00.
There will be a Show-N-Tell Event to start the meeting. Members bring items they have turned to display and discuss. Sometimes we see finished pieces, sometimes we see progress pieces and sometimes we see the failures.ear
The May Demonstrator will be Greg Tompkins. Greg has been turning for 20+ years. He started with Pens, and now turns mostly Segmented Pieces. His techniques and attention to detail, results in pieces that comprise up to 7,000 small pieces of wood assembled into Bowls, Vases and Urns. He does both open and closed segmented work. He will discuss the planning, materials, jigs to cut and assemble these beautiful pieces.
Other members that do Segmented Work will bring some of their work for the Show N Tell.
