This class will cover the process of joining milled stock for cabinet face-frames, doors, and drawers. Students will set up tools, select appropriate lumber, then cut and check the fit of joints for use in shop cabinetry projects and future classes.
Includes:
Selection of stock to meet practical and aesthetic concerns of a project.
Kreg joints, lap joints, rail and style joints for panel doors, drawer lock joints, blind dovetail joints, biscuit and butt joints.
Tools covered will be miter saw, table saw, router table, biscuit joiner, Kreg jig, dovetail machine, various jigs/guides.
Other classes in series include: Wood Milling Basics, Glue Up and Clamping Basics, and Wood Finishing Basics
Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
