Ender 3 pro Dial Indicator

I stumbled onto this article and I had to try it. A guy built an adapter that goes over the fan on ender 3 pro and cr10 and a few others that have this Configuration!

I bought a cheap dial indicator guage, I noticed it had a large nuckle in the way I designed and printed a new dust cover
As well as this adapter I got off thingiverse!

You just have to set the first corner, Zero your dial to zero, then move your other XandY axis, and adjust bed perfectly with out paper.

There is also a g code program but I prefer manual

I’ve seen some other stuff like that that people have done. Fun I suppose, but unnecessary. Also that’s a dial indicator, not a dial test indicator.

Edited for grammar and proper terminology thx for the correction
Just shared it thought like minded makers might enjoy this

I like it. I have a dial indicator and always prefer measurements over feel.

I designed and printed a mount for a dial indicator for my 3D printer.
It made a world of difference when trying to level the bed.
It pointed out the warp of the bed that had to be fixed by removing the bed and bending.
Of course, just leveling the bed was made easier as well.
