I suspect that the Enco is down. I tried to thread a tool holder onto the drawbar today but could not get it to thread on.
The first 1/4” or so of the drawbar threads appear stripped and the washer at the top was torn and had a twisted section. It appears to have been over torqued.
I pounded out the washer to return it to flat but I’m at a loss for what to do with the threads.

If that’s all the thread engagement that was happening, the draw bar should be longer anyway.

I think this has been addressed, someone attempted to install a collet without aligning the key, so the collet wasn’t anywhere near fully seated, which is why only the last bit of the threads engaged. The drawbar has been shortened so that the stretched threads were removed and the bar will only reach if the collet is fully socketed.
