Drone Pilot Class - Schedule

I’ve heard from quite a few people and their preferences. Here are a couple of choices, narrowed down: NOTE a change in the weekday evening…

I’ll add a new poll in a different message

In addition to the classroom time, we’ll do a “Drone Fly-in” somewhere (it can’t be at MakeICT due to airspace restrictions), for people to get some hands-on flight time with your own drone or one provided by a class member (or me). This will be closely supervised for safety.

Neither of these options work for me. I can’t do Thursday evenings, and Saturday 11/11 is an Orientation date.

I’m sorry.

I have re-arranged my schedule to make those work based on the feedback I received. I can’t meet everyone’s individual schedules. Just doing the best I can.

I would make myself available to meet with you another weeknight to cover the material one-on-one if that helps. There may be others in the same boat.

I’m willing to meet with those who can’t do a weekday evening at another time to cover that material. 11/11 orientation is not on the MakeICT event calendar so, as far as the calendar is concerned, it’s open. Perhaps someone could cover for you.

I don’t think this class is going to work out for me. Please remove my preferred times from consideration.

No one seemed to object to a specific weekday but me - no Thursdays.

As I said, I’d be HAPPY to do a special one-on-one (or one-on-several) session on another weekday evening for people who can’t make the Thursday.

NEW Schedule poll:

  • 2 Saturdays: 10/21 and 10/28 9AM-4PM (with lunch break), Wednesday 10/25: 6-10PM
  • 2 Saturdays: 11/4 and 11/11 9AM-4PM (with lunch break), Wednesday 11/8: 6-10PM

If you’re thinking of signing up for the Drone Pilot class, it would be good to do it sooner rather than later. As soon as you sign up I’ll be sending a welcome message along with some study materials.

I can’t go November 11 but I’m thinking I’ll sign up and take 2/3 of the class, learn the last bit on my own maybe? I’ll help spread the word too!

I’ll be happy to help you with the last portion. I’m thinking I’ll offer “make-up” sessions for those who can’t attend one or another of the sessions.

For those who can’t manage the existing schedule. I’m pretty flexible. I’ll be happy to do “make-up” sessions for those who can’t attend the scheduled sessions. If that makes it easier, sign up for the existing program and I’ll work with you to finish the class. This isn’t a “use it or lose it” program. I’m here to help you get the license.

Although we have scheduled classes, I’m very flexible. If you can’t attend the scheduled classes, sign up anyway. I will work with you to find a time that’s mutually agreeable and we’ll get you through what you missed.
