The belts ride on pulleys, not gears. I just looked at the drill press and it appears to be working fine. It’s currently set up for 330 rpm.

Which belt configuration were you attempting to use? If you need help changing the belt configuration, let us know so somebody can show you the correct way.

Is 300 RPM a typo?

I don’t see any belt configuration for 300 RPM on the chart.

I would love to be shown how to use it better if there’s ever a chance!
I’m glad to hear it’s working okay! It didn’t look to me that anything was broken it was just too loose to stay on and I didn’t know how to tighten it.

I think I was using 900 initially but when I couldn’t get that to work I tried a couple different orientations just to experiment. If I accidentally left it somewhere that it didn’t belong (300 rpm) that is my mistake.

Yeah, should have been 330. I’m blaming my phone.

There are two lock screws and one lever used to tension the belts.

Loosen the lock screw on both sides and rotate the lever to apply (or release) belt tension.
