I used the drill press in the woodshop today. The spring that holds up the arbor is either broke or is not connected. The arbor stays in the down position until you crank it up. It looked like it may be a coil spring. There is one end that sticks out of the spring housing and it had no tension on it.
Already known issue.
New quill return coil has been ordered. Should be in Wednesday. Will update when repair is complete, however the drill press is good (though cumbersome) to use in the meantime.
