Dried Flowers

Hi, has anyone done flower drying and would be interested / willing to drying some flowers for me? I have a bouquet of lillies and roses I was hoping to have dried to preserve them.

Thank you

Have you thought about freeze drying them? Chateau Gifts & Flower Preservation 126 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67213, preserved the flowers from my daughters wedding. They did an awesome job.

… I wonder if we have any members with a freeze dryer???

I hang them upside down in my garage and after about a month they’re fully dried.

I never thought about doing that! I am unsure if I could use mine though as they are used for food primarily.

I like that idea.

Does it require the dry humidity? I only have a cold basement. I wonder if it would do the same in there?

I think that a basement will be too moist.
I think the air circulation is the key.
You can also use a desiccant in close proximity.

You can also buy silica beads that you gently surround the flowers with. They let them dry slowly and don’t end up as crunchy

I put it in the driest area of my basement and then put my dehumidifier in the room and closed the doors.
