Dirk the Daring and other t-shirts (AI Image Resizing technique)

Found a Dirk the Darking image I’d like to make a t-shirt and probably stickers out of…

But the image quality and size isn’t great at 320x500…

I used an online AI Image Resizer and resized it 4x twice to a massive 5120x800…

…the site seems to have also done me the favor of removing the background and leaving nice edges…

Used:

• AI Image Enlarger, for resizing. (free)

I’ll have to wait until the new heat press comes in to continue.

It didn’t do as well with Rick and Morty’s Pickle Rick, but I think that might have been the source file.

…or with Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s Carl Brutananadilewski’s shoulder hairs.

Should be easy enough to clean up using Gimp image editor, also free.

The results you got on dirk are really good!

Ill add that I use vector magic to convert bitmaps to vector with good results. It’s not free but it’s only $10 per month with no commitment. It’s the best I know for converting to vector.
