The CNC Plasma Table doesn’t move manually after homing. The Machine log says “Float Switch has disabled jogging”. I’ve reset the table and LinuxCNC and it still says “Float Switch has disabled jogging”.
Also, made sure the Plasma Cutter was off during the troubleshooting.
It is possible to override the jog inhibit by using the GUI or keyboard to jog in the Z+ direction rather than checking the Override Jog box on the SETTINGS Tab.
This is done by changing the following option to True in the [GUI_OPTIONS] of the <machine_name>.prefs file in the <machine_name> folder: Override jog inhibit via Z+
Restarting the machine didn’t work. It seemed like there was something finicky with the z-height sensor. Jimmy is aware of it and will try to look at it this week.
Any updates on the CNC PLASMA? I took a look at it yesterday and spent some time researching the error online but there wasn’t much info out there other than what supercritical posted. Are we pretty certain its the float switch? or a software issue?
