Found a link to a pottery event in Manitou Springs CO on Sept 23rd. I have never been but it looks fun!!! A long drive to Colorado, but sounds like a fun trip!!!

Manitou Springs is a cool little community just west of Colorado Springs. I imagine any event like that would be loads of fun since it seems to be such an artsy little place. There are lots of outdoorsy things to do in the area too, such as the cog train ride up Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods, and things like that. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been over there, but unless they’ve built accommodations, you may need to book a hotel room in Colorado Springs. The two towns are almost connected, so the drive between the two is no big deal.
