Chalk board needed

Is there a spare chalkboard laying around the makerspace?

I’d like to get a suggested projected list going in the metalshop going again.

There’s a lot of basic projects I’d like to do in the metalshop, but I’d like to see what kind of spin and fun other people would have with those kinds of projects.

Current small projects in my head:

  1. Hang a ‘to-do’ list somewhere in the metalshop (probably by the rechargable tools)
  2. Build a stand for the anvil
  3. Build a rack for the c-clamps
  4. Build a rack to mount the angle grinders
  5. Extend the low pressure airline over to the powder coating booth

My dad has a bunch of leftover chalk board paint from his man shed, I can ask if it’s still good.

Hmm… That might make for a fun chalkboard…

Definitely check with him…

That does get me thinking - I wonder how it would turn out to use a nicer piece of sheetmetal with some dry erase markers… Almost a junkyard wars style writing surface… Just with less chance of getting tetanus while writing on it.

I left some room for improvement for the project list in the metalshop…

You can have one from the woodshop

He has a full gallon, about 6 months old.

But my dad recently left (trucker.)
Should be back in town by the 20th, 21st if you’re still interested.

I’ll drop the gallon off Sunday or Monday, I’ll add your name.

Thanks!

I have some ideas festering to make a better sign over there, and maybe mount it in a more accessible spot.

…and maybe add a way to clip some design ideas under the board for people that want to do fewer mental gymnastics while building something.

Lol. You sound like me when I find a new dress pattern.:rofl::rofl:
