Just got here and the card reader at the front door was dark and non-operative.
Had to ring the bell to be let in.
Quick troubleshooting: Did the power supply get knocked out or a breaker tripped?
We have someone on the way shortly to give it the once-over.
Don’t see any tripped breakers.
Also, the wifi network is down.
There was a power surge and the lights flickered. The battery for the entry that’s in the garage is functional. I checked all breakers in the boiler room and in ceramics immediately after it happened. Apparently, the doorbell is not chiming either.
I have the same troubles as Brad 10 minutes ago. I don’t think the doorbell was working either as nobody answered. Nothing urgent for me so I’ll just come back in a little while.
The PoE switch that powered network devices like the card reader died. Thanks to a dedicated response team the card reader is back up.
