Can someone show me how to wire up a lamp cord?

I am very interested in making my own lamps. Can someone teach me how to prepare the electronics to make one? Like the basics of soldering and wiring and such. Will pay. Would be looking for like a two hour hands on tutorial.

Oh dude I should look for that

I used to make lamps.

For an incandescent light bulb you can get away with wiring it either way. Like don’t get hung up on the cord.

Technically for a 2 wire you should have a black and white wire (where’s the red wire?!)
Three prog adds the green ground wire.

Attach that to your case if it’s metal.

Added a pic of a 3prong but two is the same sans the ground wire

hope I’m helping!

You guys would be welcome to meet in the electronics lab,
Sunday 3-5pm is the Electronics Meetup already (lamp wiring is
electronics-related), and attendance is usually pretty low, so there
shouldn’t be a crowd. You guys might be the only attendees, heh!
Maybe see you there.
