Building Electrical Review - kick off meeting

For those that weren’t able to make the meeting tonight, minutes have been posted to the wiki.

Highlights from the meeting:
-Improving the building to meet our AC and electrical needs is being looked into
-We are deep in the research phase
-There may be a way forward to cool one wing of the building at a time without completely relying on window A/C units
-We are looking for help to make this happen, but please coordinate with Jai Chauhan (facilities lead) before taking action
-Going forward, this group will be considered a subcommittee of the facilities team but members are welcome to help out with facilities as well

Awesome work! One thing that Cessna does is has a switch we used to use when we were working on weekends that had a timer on it. You had to set the timer to get warmer heat in places.

Also in my classrooms at Cessna, they had thermostats that only allowed the occupants to adjust +/- 5 degrees. That kept people who didn’t understand thermostats from making large temp swings on the thermostat. (Surprising how many engineers did not understand thermostats…)
