At cone 5, any glaze on the bottom of pots will stick to the shelf during firing. Pots need 1/8 in at bottom with no glaze and more than that if the glaze is one that runs. For example, If we fire this it would tightly stick the piece onto our kiln shelf. I wiped this one back a bit before loading. Please everyone- clean your bottoms before placing on the glaze shelf.
