An estimate is good enough when reporting as long as itâs stated to be an estimate.
From i990 instructions:
âDescription of program services. For each program
service reported, include the following.
⢠Describe program service accomplishments through specific
measurements such as clients served, days of care provided,
number of sessions or events held, or publications issued.
⢠Describe the activityâs objective, for both this time period and
the longer-term goal, if the output is intangible, such as in a
research activity.
⢠Give reasonable estimates for any statistical information if
exact figures arenât readily available. Indicate that this
information is estimated.â

I would rather have the information in wild apricot than count on a volunteer to track and record it. I know all volunteering hours are not being reported currently and Iâm guilty of that.
