After much weeping and gnashing of teeth, the blue mill in the back of the ERP is “operational”. I’ll now leave it to the experts to verify that the settings are correct. In other words, someone else can do the remaining weeping. I suspect the specs for these sherlines are widely available, so the settings could be plopped right into LinuxCNC if they haven’t been already.
Here’s how it works:
Power switch on the back of the mill turns it on and places it in standby. To take it out of standby, press the little red square button on the front panel - it should illuminate. To put it back into standby, press the big red emergency stop button.
Spindle on/off is controlled from LinuxCNC. Spindle speed is controlled from the potentiometer on the front panel.
There is currently no place to set the keyboard and mouse. Hopefully someone else can come up with something.
