Hello! I hope everyone has been doing well. It’s been a little while, and I wasn’t quite sure who to send this message to, but maybe the person who needs to see it is in this leadership group. Last week, I stopped by to use the laser and noticed that the machine looked a bit different from how it looked the last time I was there. I saw a note on the Red Machine mentioning to hold down one side of the door for it to start up properly, but there were no notes on the other one. It seemed to me like something might be wrong with it. I’m not sure if someone already knows about this, but I wanted to share a quick update and attached a picture in case it helps get it fixed soon. Thanks so much for your time, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I moved your post from leadership to fablab where it’s more likely to be seen by folks involved with the laser cutters.

I have not been here so long so this is how I am used to them looking. I have used and seen others use both laser cutters in recent times.

Hi I also noticed this but was able to use the laser successfully in this condition.
I believe those are low voltage power lines for the positioning laser diode that used to point to where the laser was positioned on material. I could be completely wrong,
I would also hope that they are no longer live but i can’t verify either of those details. Either way i wouldn’t lick my fingers and touch both wires together.
Happy lasering.
