I was in the woodshop this past week and noticed that the belt sander switch is broken again, leaving users to power on/off at the outlet. I propose replacing the presumably expensive power switch with a lower cost switch and a contactor. Better yet, using a latching contactor or wiring one as such so as to add the additional safety of a magnetic switch.
Thoughts?
