Beer Tap Handles

These are three-part 3d printed beer tap handles modeled on screwdriver handles. The name flags on top use a tapered socket to fit snug and the bottom(yellow) part is threaded after printing. Incidentally, I found that hand sanitizer makes a great tap fluid for the PLA. Go slow and clear the chips a lot more than non-plastic stuff. I also used some dry erase tape for labels.

Nice Jesse. Is that a converted chest type freezer you have your brew in?

It is a converted chest freezer, but I cannot take credit. It belongs to friend who makes home brew. I offered to make him some handles as the stock ones he had were rather boring. Of course I reserved the right to come test drive the new taps!

Update: the all-plastic handles did not hold up to normal use. I redesigned to accommodate a 3/8" rod coupling and a Chunk of 3/8" all-thread rod. The plastic is now just window dressing for the steel support inside.
