Just a friendly reminder, be gentle with the lathe. Twice in the last week I’ve found the spur center lodged so tightly into the headstock that it’s been difficult to remove. The spur center is also showing signs of being blunted, I would guess from being pounded into wood too roughly or being dropped. The spur center will hold firm in the headstock with gentle pressure.
We’ve also found the longer tool rest bent at the post and it needs replaced. I’ve had some catches, but nothing so bad as to bend 5/8 inch steel. Please be gentle and be safe.
