Another welding class in January

I’m thinking of putting another welding class on the calendar for 26 Jan. There’s been interest in both MIG and TIG classes. In keeping with tradition, for now I suppose we’ll continue to keep MIG as a prerequisite for TIG. I would like to add a class in February also but I don’t know what my work travel is going to look like yet so I’m going to hold off on committing to a date that month for now. I could try to do two classes in January but my workload at home really dictates that I not over-commit to other stuff.

So, for a January class, which has more interest - TIG or MIG? Sorry, I know somebody is going to feel left out, but it is what it is.

I have already taken the MIG class, so of the two I would only take the TIG class.

I would like TIG, but not on Friday night or on Saturday until late afternoon.

My daughter and I would be interested in a TIG class on a weekend. The MIG class was great.

I have a how to teach a class class on Tuesday at 6pm. If that doesn’t work for you, then we can get together on your schedule… just give me some days/times that work for you.

Look for the MIG class to appear on the calendar in the next couple days. I intend to have the class on the 25th. I am considering going ahead and having a TIG class on the 26th.

Count me and my kiddo in for the Tig class.

Also, where did you buy the flat stock you used for the coupons? Figure I need to buy and cut a bunch for her to practice on.

I don’t remember if I bought that one inch strap from the yard store or from my supplier out in Goddard but the yard store is easy and pretty inexpensive. The rest that it is likely to have on will provide an opportunity to get practice with the grinder! If I was going to buy a new steel in Wichita I would probably go to AMR. Metal supermarket is a good source for oddball stuff but they are pricey for generic shapes and sizes.

I have put a MIG welding class on the calendar for 25 Jan and a TIG class on 26 Jan.

ETA: tig class is full.

I have teied severak times ti sign up for the powed coating class thrusday a welding class with the link in this email and it says I am not authorized to go to that page. I have signed out and in still will not let me sign up please hel[p. thanks curtis

Have you completed the safety course for the metal shop? (It won’t let you sign up if you haven’t)
