Ambrosia maple

Im trying to get some Ambrosia maple for a current project. Anyone here have ideas of where I should go? At this point I’m assuming I’ll need to ship it in.

I haven’t seen it offered retail around here, but that doesn’t mean too much. There are some mills and distributors I’ve never been to that carry some interesting species.

Good luck!

There is a guy in Kechi that has a sawmill, woodshop you can check with. There is also Jesse in Whitewater who runs a sawmill and woodshop. Jesse is a member of the club, so you could ask him there.

Do you think he’ll be here this weekend? I’ll have to talk to him. Do you have the name for the kechi place by chance?

Thanks. I know that people in my scroll saw group get wood online but I don’t want to ship if I don’t have to. If I do go that way I want to make sure it’s a good company to purchase from. Wish we had more options locally though.

The wood supplier in Kechi is Richard’s Wood Shop. He is just north of Karg Art Class at Oliver and 61st.
