Members of MakeICT’s Amateur Radio Club will be participating with Wichita Amateur Radio Club’s Field Day 2026 operation this weekend.
The schedule is:
Today -Friday: Setup 1300 - 1700. If you want to come help you are most welcome - it’s a good opportunity to see different amateur radio rigs and how things are set up in the field.
Saturday: Setup finalization 1100-1300, Operation 1300 Saturday to 1300 Sunday - there will be opportunities for YOU to get on the air - we even have a special station just for new folks to do that. This should be available for the full event.
Sunday - tear down: 1300 until we’re done (probably 1600-1700). Again, help would be appreciated.
The location is the “Wichita Fire Regional Training Center”. 4746 E 31st St S, Wichita, KS. - It’s just north of the Boeing factory, adjacent to I-135. (Just a few blocks from MakeICT.)
