I ruined a Smooth PEI sheet. Lessoned learned about removing a print cold (I think). Anyways, I just ordered a replacement. Should be here in 5 or 6 days.
Sorry

What material were you printing? Certain materials adhere too well to the smooth sheets and require special consideration.
PETG. I told AI what material I was working with and it suggested that sheet. I’ve been using AI for several weeks now to teach me several things about CAM.
Other information of importance may be that I have been doing extensive experimentation with PrusaSlicers Ironing setting to achieve a transparent print.
It’s been a lot of trial and error .
I don’t know who this Al guy is, but he may need to do a bit more studying. I would refer you to Prusa’s material guide (as linked on the Wiki) . Following that guide you will see that gluestick is recommended when printing PETG on the smooth sheet, since it has a tendency to adhere too well and cause damage on removal. I imagine this would be even more likely to cause issues if you are trying to get a clear print by squishing down the layers, increasing extrusion multiplier, etc. Removing the print cold is totally fine, even preferable. It is often easier once the bed has cooled.
Point taken. I’ll look closer at the Wiki and Prusa’s website before printing another thing. Thank you.
