Im interested in cutting a 16 gauge steel sheet as well as bending the edges to from a pan. Will the shear/brake handle that gauge. The steel sheet will be about as long as the shear.

The wiki contains the manual for the shear. Here are the specs:
Maximum Workpiece Width 30 IN.
Maximum Workpiece Thickness 20 Gauge
Roll Diameter 1-1/2 IN.
Wire Forming Grooves 5/32, 11/64, and 7/32 IN.
Die Sizes 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, and 10 IN.

If the shear wont handle your material then you can get authorized to use the CNC plasma

it will bend a few inches of 16ga but no where near the full length.
