The plan is still coming together, but we will do a low temperatures bisque fire first to prevent breakage. I will talk to Gaye about covering the details at the next ceramics metting.

So the plan is we do an experimental firing in March to get the technique down. Anyone is welcome to participate. We will be using a 55 gallon barrel loaded with sawdust and/or wood and various items to produce colorations. In the month of April we will do an official “special firing” with sawdust and wood etc. open to all as well. Attaching a list of items and the colors they produce on pottery.

Ok, we did the experimental barrel firing last night. There was some breakage but it was kinda expected.
