Will anyone be around this weekend to help?

I have a couple poles that are breaking at the joints. I would like to repair them but I need someone with more experience with metal to assist me.

Looking at these pictures, I would just replace them, or build something different. Not sure what they are for, but they are extremely thin and broken.

Its pieces of a basketball game. I was hoping to repair them, but wasn’t sure because of how thin the material is. I’m setting it up at work for the kids we work with and those pieces are a safety concern. Do you think JB Weld could make them safe?

Some other possible solutions if you’re desparate:

  • bend a whole new tube frame

  • cut off broken sections and bend a short rod and attach to remaining ends of cut sections

  • build a form around broken parts and fill with epoxy or concrete

  • make blocks or braces out of wood or 3d printed plastic to clamp or encase the broken sections
