The A8 Lives agian!

Anet A8 upgrade!

The laser cut frame relies on washers under the bed to hold part of it together. When those washers slip loose the whole thing twists making leveling a nightmare. So I ordered an extruded aluminum frame, had my brother print the parts. Dissasembled the entire thing and took over the dinning room table to reassemble it. I also switched to prusaslicer (from cura) and have the settings dialed in I think (at least for hatchbox black) I did a print in place of this articulating Caterpillar and it went beautifully.

I still need to upgrade the firmware and some cable management… but I rebuilt a 3d printer and got excellent results.

I have just completed a print I’ve never been able to finish before! A challenge of sorts this thing always found an excuse to fail. Now my wife wants three that light up…
