I hate to send any Textiles to the landfill. 5%of landfill space is textiles and 85%of that is scrap that never was used. I love to have some new ideas for scraps. I came across this today in a FB group. It’s decorative ribbon made from sewing small scraps together. What are some ways you use scraps?

It might be easy and fun to make them into memory games for kids

I will gather scraps and make a plan for a class
I have a lot of tshirts that get ruined on my job so I will make tshirt yarn then use them to make dog or ferret toys or crochet it into a little bed for my critters.

I love Alabama Chanin’s work. I’ve been saving some old t-shirts to make an upcycled look using her techniques. I also bought several hulahoops for 10¢ each at the end of summer to use to make round floor mats out of t-shirts yarn.
