Router Shank Size

I’m wondering what the router shank size is in the wood shop. 1/2"? 1/4"?

Also, does anyone know of a place locally that has a good selection of router bits? I’m looking for a slotting bit for t-molding.

Thanks!

I’m sure the Big Tool Store in Derby would have a good selection, although they might be expensive. If it’s a one-off thing, the cheapest slot-cutting set is probably the HF set, which is available today locally: https://www.harborfreight.com/carbide-tip-three-wing-slotting-cutter-router-bit-set-7-pc-68871.html

According to the wiki.

Great, thanks for the info!

Thanks for this information. I would assume we have the collet that accommodates a 1/4" shank?

yes, there is a 1/4 collet
