Heads up, there is a lot of construction and a few deep pot holes along the east bound lane of Mt. Vernon.
If you drive a sedan to Booth or other low clearance vehicle, you may want to come to booth from Woodlawn.
Also, the city is ripping out some of the rougher concrete sidewalk areas. Not sure how the city is going to fill those in, but it might be a chance to do something unique with those spots.
City of Wichita Constuction Bulletin says they are doing resurfacing and then are restriping for one lane each direction with center turn lane and adding bike lanes. Estimated completion is spring of 2020, so that means August probably. What we are seeing now is preparation for what is termed ‘mill and overlay’.
