Hello, my name is Richard Hutsell and together with my wife Tammie we recently joined Makeict. I am a maker at heart who enjoys creation in many forms. I am excited to learn new ways to create through structured classes as well as through peers here at Makeict.
A little about me, I am 53 years old, married for 30 yrs on the 29th. Four adult children and eight grandchildren. I work for Spirit Aerosystems (soon to be Boeing again) as an HR onboarding instructor. I have been aircraft most of my working life. I am part of a local motorcycle club and enjoy riding and hanging out with that chosen family.
What do I hope to get from Makeict? I am interested in nearly every area of the facility. Specifically, I want to learn all of the technical equipment. Laser cutters, Plasma table, CNC router, Embroidery machine. I would love to learn screen print. I am also interested in learning to make jewelry. I am current on the books for both woodshop and metal shop safety and laser cutting basics. Hoping to see some of these other topics pop up on the calendar. On that note is there a screen print workshop that anyone provides? If so, please reach out to me.

There are screen printing classes that @doug.wilson holds periodically.

I don’t by any means hold all the info on MakeICT, but I will say that screen printing is probably one of the easiest things to get started with.

I trust that it’s not difficult but my lack of knowledge makes it impossible on my own. If you are ever available to show me the ropes I am always looking to learn. Otherwise, I will hope for a class to show up on calendar.
