Earlier today when I was at MakeICT, I sent a message via personal chat for the first time. This feature was activated for my account only a couple of days ago, but I didn’t notice the speech bubble icon next to the search icon in the browser app until today. It has since disappeared. Does anyone know why?
Uh, that was my fault. 
After I updated the forum software this morning I enabled a new chat feature to poke around and test it. I thought it was only available to users with staff roles, but I realized later that it was available to regular users, so I fixed that. I don’t know if we’ll end up using it. You can still send personal messages as normal.
It’s a good thing I didn’t write the next Great American Novel in that message, or there would be hell to pay.

Yeah, hopefully there weren’t too many people that noticed while it was up. I’m sure the message exists somewhere in the database and will pop back into existence if we re-enable the feature.
