I have a sawstop table saw very similar to the one at Makeict, at the house. My question is this with the automatic system it has do I need an overhead floating guard to meet osha safety standards. I am in the process of moving into my new workshop and as i will have employees. My insurance says I must adhere to the osha safety standards for my insurance to work.

MakeICT doesn’t fall under OSHA. They are very helpful if you reach out to them.

I understand that, my question is more to the people that have ran or still run cabinet shops around hoping some input.

Go to OSHA.gov to look up the regs directly. You will be under part 1910 General Industry. Or call the Wichita OSHA office and ask a “Compliance Assistance” person there. They want to help. 316.269.6644
