We would be interested in a donation but not a purchase at this time. We could maybe pick it up. Have been thinking about a larger bandsaw for logs. I am the woodshop lead, if you have any more details post them up or give him my # : 316-708-2231
Thanks

If it runs on 440, we may need to run a new circuit. I think the woodshop is wired with 110 and 220.

Depending on the HP, it might be easier to re-power it.

Depending on the motor, it may be able to be reconfigured to run on the existing circuit, if the ampacity of the circuit can accommodate (meaning current). For ballpark numbers, if you halve the voltage you double the current. For example, a 5HP motor wired for 480 volts may pull 8 amps, but when rewired for 208 volts it may require 16 amps. I have not looked closely at the available power in the building. I assume it is a 3phase system, as it is a commercial building. I don’t know if the building has panelboards operating at voltages higher than 208V. (440, 460, and 480 volts are all “nominally” the same values).
