Engineering Expo is on April 18th. Ren fest is the 18th and 19th with setup on the 17th.
I reserved us two tables at the expo. So 3 other volunteers would be needed for that … or 6 half day folks. It runs from 8am-3pm with about a half hour or so for setup/breakdown. I’m thinking we can do the fidget spinner/button toy as one activity and maybe a catapult or rubber band powered vehicle for the other… or if you volunteer, suggest something fun!
But since I agreed to do expo, that leaves us short handed for running things at the ren faire. Generally, I do some kind of make and take with the kids… we were thinking about doing a slightly fancier catapult this year… so if helping kids build stuff is up your alley, let me know and I will set things up.
I’m probably not going to be selling stuff this year, so i don’t mind helping more with the make and takes and keeping an eye on a group painting project, but it makes the renaissance fair is more fun when 5 or 6 of us are there.
Similar story for the expo - with 3 or 4 people, it makes things more fun and gives people more of a chance to take a break and enjoy the event.
