(Note: Resin printing is a separate class, keep on the lookout for those)
We'll cover how 3D printing works, materials used in 3D printing, importing 3D files into slicer software, and important techniques for successful printing. Each participant will get a chance to practice with the software and print a small object to take home. Sample models will be provided, but participants may also bring in an STL file of a small (~3cm3) object to try out.
Completion of this class will grant authorization for using the filament 3D printers at MakeICT.

In this hands on pottery class you will make a mug using the slab building method. This will be a 2 session class, unless you elect to have the instructor glaze your piece.
During the first session, you will construct a darted style mug. Together, we'll explore various decorating techniques including carving, texturing, or adding embellishments to your mug.
The 2nd session (glazing) will be held on specified Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. These are informal sessions available within a 2 hour timeframe. You are free to attend the glazing session that works best with your schedule.
After the first session, your piece will remain in the studio to dry (about 4 -5 days) and then bisque fired. Once bisque is complete, it will be ready to glaze. I'll send notification when your piece is ready to glaze and provide the glaze session schedule at that time. If you choose to have me glaze, your finished creations will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 - 6 weeks, depending on drying time and kiln schedules. I'll notify you as soon as your items are ready.
All materials - including clay, tools, glaze, and underglaze are included in the class price.
