Ages: 12 and up

In this hands on pottery class you will make a divided tray of your own design using the slab building method. This will be a 2 session class, unless you elect to have the instructor glaze your piece.

During the first session, you will construct the tray. The tray could be used for jewelry, a food serving tray, pet dish, and many other options. Together, we'll explore various decorating techniques including carving, texturing, or adding embellishments to your tray.

The second session (glazing) will be held on specified days to be announced after you complete the first session. These are informal sessions available within a 2 hour timeframe. You are free to attend the glazing session that works best with your schedule.

After the first session, your piece will remain in the studio to dry (about 4 -5 days) and then bisque fired. Once bisque is complete, it will be ready to glaze. I'll send notification when your piece is ready to glaze and provide the glaze session schedule at that time. If you choose to have me glaze, your finished creations will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 - 6 weeks, depending on drying time and kiln schedules. I'll notify you as soon as your items are ready.

All materials - including clay, tools, glaze, and underglaze are included in the class price.
